Want to become…
Stronger • Leaner • More Confident
Supported • Addicted!
We totally get that things come up and you can’t make it to the barre. if you have reserved your space in class {and we recommend that you do}, please cancel at least 12 hours in advance to avoid being charged any cancellation fees.
To gain the most from your barre class, you must wear grippy socks which are available in our boutique and based on our specialized equipment, we recommend leggings and a comfortable top that covers most of your midriff. Studio Barre classes focus on a specific muscle group at one time, and therefore it is important to keep your idle muscles warm until they are ready to become the focus. This will ensure the utmost safe workout for you! {this also allows our staff to make the proper hands on corrections}
The required attire for taking class at our studio is: leggings {capri length or longer}, a top that completely covers midriff and grippy socks. The reason leggings and a full covered top are required is to keep the heat in the body to prevent injury while keeping muscles warm. This will ensure the utmost safe workout for you! {this also allows our staff to make the proper hands on corrections} The Studio Barre workout is done without shoes and because we care about your safety, we require you wear grippy socks in class. Not only are they super cute, but they will keep your feet in place and everything clean. You can shop our boutique for your grippy socks.
Classes and class packages are not interchangeable at other Studio Barre locations. Only Studio Barre Society members can enjoy classes at all studio barre locations for a discounted drop-in price. All packages are non-refundable and expire in 365 tucking days {unless otherwise stated} so be sure to get your booty in class.
We love when you shop in our boutique. If you need to, you can return unworn merchandise within 14 days of purchase with tags still on.
Kate grew up very active in competitive horseback riding and as a distance runner. After many injuries from both sports, Kate discovered barre when she was seeking an effective, low-impact workout and was immediately hooked! After teaching at Studio Barre Alexandria for four years, Kate and her husband moved to ATX. It was always a pipe dream to own her own studio, so when the opportunity arose to purchase SBATX she jumped on the chance of a lifetime in December 2021.
When Kate is not at the barre, you can usually find her on the back of a horse (she has been riding for over 20 years!). She also fancies herself a (very) amateur chef, wine lover and loves to travel the world with her extremely patient husband, Andy. Her children include two very spoiled yet charming pups, Eloise and Madeleine.
Although new to studio ownership, Kate has a very discerning eye for detail and aesthetics with an extensive background in both marketing and retail. For five years Kate worked in event and product marketing for organizations like The Advisory Board and The Society for Human Resources Management. In addition, Kate also has extensive retail and merchandising experience working in stores like J.Crew and with brands like Smythe, Ecru, Autumn Cashmere and Sanctuary. Owning SBATX is so far her favorite of all these careers, and she loves being able to combine all of her talents into one sweet little studio. Kate has a degree in International & Global Studies and Spanish from Sewanee: The University of the South.

I love running, lifting weights, and the good burn + friendships from SBATX! Getting to know everyone in the class has become a favorite thing of mine so please wave and introduce yourself when you drop in!
